Following our workshops with Andy Cope our student identified that they wanted to get to know all members of staff in the school. They also recognised that social times are important to students and that these could be promoted more positively at school. The students in Heron's came up with the idea of making and selling staff lunches. They promoted the project designing posters, followed recipes and then served and sold lunches to over 10 staff. The lunch tasted amazing!
Students also recognise that social times are important and they wanted to spread the happiness in other ways with the students. They have set up with limited support a snack bar for students upstairs at Highfield Littleport. Again they created all of the posters that were required and sold snacks today to their peers.
All in all this is a fantastic opportunity for enterprise, curriculum and social skills to be developed. And of course spreading the happiness!
